Porto's Telles Passes Data, Set to Leave the Club

Porto have confirmed that Brazilian midfielder Telê Santana will leave the club at the end of his contract this summer.

Santana has been with Porto since he was just 15 years old and has made over 200 appearances for the club in all competitions.

The 26-year-old is set to join fellow Portuguese side Sporting CP on a free transfer after failing to agree terms with Porto.

In a statement released by Porto, they said: "We would like to thank Telê Santana for his dedication and commitment during his time here at Porto.

"However, we have reached agreement with the player regarding the termination of his contract."

It's not clear whether or not Santana will be offered a new deal with Sporting CP,Football Service Link but it's likely that he'll play a key role in their midfield next season.

Despite being born in Brazil, Santana has become a true Porto legend and is widely regarded as one of the best players to ever grace the club's shirt.

His departure leaves the club with a number of important decisions to make ahead of the upcoming season.

Will they look to replace him in the midfield? Or will they focus on signing a new player altogether?
